On Tuesday, April 21, 2015, Andrea Marr, Navy veteran and Regatta Solutions’ VP of Energy Services, will be a member of the panel discussion at the screening of the film “THE BURDEN.” This film highlights how the U.S. military is uniquely positioned to bolster a clean energy economy that will strengthen our national, economic, and environmental security. Produced and directed by Roger Sorkin, the film “[illuminates] the economic opportunities offered by a renewable energy economy and includes interviews with an array of political and military leaders.”
As a member of the Truman National Security Project and a licensed professional engineer, Ms. Marr writes and speaks about energy from the perspective of both an industry insider and as a veteran. She was a 2013 recipient of the White House Champion of Change award for her work in energy as a veteran.
Andrea Marr“Most people aren’t aware of the security implications of their energy decisions. This film is important because it draws attention to the inherent reliability and resiliency of distributed electricity generation” noted Ms. Marr. “As a veteran, I am proud to see the military making smart energy choices.”
