Steven Acevedo
As the founder and CEO of several companies in the energy and high technology services industry, Steve has led his teams to drive innovation and breakthrough solutions for the last 30 years.
Steve is Founder and CEO of Agave® Systems in 2018. Agave® Systems a cloud-based Energy as a Service (EaaS) solution that dramatically impacts organization’s financial and sustainability performance by increasing their energy efficiency. Agave® is already being used by companies in 13 different industry verticals including companies like Adventist Healthcare, Bear Republic Brewery, and the Ronald Reagan Library.
Founded in 2009, Regatta Solutions, Inc. is a premier infrastructure energy solutions company providing distributed power generation solutions including cogeneration; solar and energy storage. Steve also acts as CEO of Regatta Development Inc. a Ca. licensed general contracting firm focused on distributed generation installation and datacenter infrastructure projects.
Prior to founding Regatta Solutions, Steve held sales, management and executive positions with Texas Instruments, International Business Machines Corporation, Bridgestone Software, Cornerstone Systems, Inc. and MSI Systems Integrators. Steve holds a bachelor’s science degree from the University of Southern California and has also attended a number of executive management programs, including the Executive Program for Growing Companies, Stanford Graduate School of Business and UCLA Anderson School of Management.
He serves “Living to Love Another Day” an organization supporting efforts to eliminate student suicide and Fristers an organization helping teen parents. He serves on the Corporate Advisory Board at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering as well as the Athenian Leadership Council at the USC Price School of Public Policy.
Mark Gilbreth
As Chief Technology Officer for Regatta Solutions Mark Gilbreth is responsible for technical vision and leading all aspects of technology development aligning these with the strategic direction and growth objectives of the company.
Mr. Gilbreth also leads the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships as well as building and managing the application technology team. He will focus on understanding and ensuring organizational adherence to technical standards. Mr. Gilbreth also evaluates new services and technology offerings that support existing customer requirements and leverages our strategic partnerships.
Mr. Gilbreth joined Regatta Solutions with 21 years of experience in engineering leadership and systems solutions experience in the power generation business. Prior to joining Regatta, Mark started his career at Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems developing control systems and user support software for Auxiliary Power Units on aircraft. Mr. Gilbreth’s technical and leadership capabilities were quickly recognized and he was promoted to lead engineer for several next generation engine development programs.
Mr. Gilbreth joined Capstone Turbine Corporation in 1995 with an entrepreneurial spirit looking to develop microturbine technology for the distributed generation market place. Mark holds over 19 US Patents in electronics architecture, controls systems, and application solutions for Capstone Turbine Corporation. During his tenure at Capstone, Mr. Gilbreth drove critical technical and operational improvements serving as Manager of Systems and Controls, Director of Customer Service, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Technology Officer.
Cassandra Simpson
As Vice President of Business Affairs for Regatta Solutions, Cassandra Simpson is responsible for accounts payable, payroll, human resources, and creation of organizational and program budgets. She serves as a member of the Management Team by providing leadership to ensure effectiveness of the organization’s financial and marketing functions.
Cassandra Simpson joined Regatta Solutions in 2010 with more than 5 years of experience in back office operations. As an administrator she has worked for a variety of growth companies, assisting them with business processes, contracts administration, and customer service interfacing.
She has an Associate Degree from Saddleback College and has attended a variety of business management and financial certification programs.
Randy Holmes
Randy Holmes is Vice President of Engineering for Regatta Solutions. He has been with Regatta for 8 years, managing distributed generation projects across a multitude of industry sectors including wastewater treatment plants, food processing, pharmaceutical companies and schools. He is also a managing principal/partner owner in Regatta Development (California General Contract License # 974377). He is a hands-on engineering practitioner that provides building value through his ability to interface with clients and partners alike. He is innovative, having driven multiple solutions requiring custom design and integration. Prior to Regatta Solutions, Randy was a project manager for a sheet metal company for 10 years. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2014 with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Jorge Choy
Jorge Choy has been a long term Regatta employee working in a variety of different area. As the VP of Customer Service he is responsible for managing all aspects of Regatta’s customer support and service. He manages the overall performance of the service team and processes to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction. As a senior executive, the vice president of customer service liaises with other members of the leadership team to implement the organization’s corporate strategy.
Jorge also provides support to Regatta Development as he has over 20 years experience in the Commercial and Residential Building and Construction Industries. For the first five years working in several trades such as electric, plumbing and carpentry. The following eight years he owned and operated FIX IT Construction.
Jorge earned a degree in Business and Accounting from The University of Phoenix. He is licensed with the State of California Contractors Licensing Board.
