Energy Recovery and Conservation

DATE: May 12, 2015
TIME: 11:30AM–12:30PM (Eastern)
In this webinar, ICF International experts examine the opportunity for behind-the-meter generation (BMG) using waste energy recovery (WER) and conservation combined heat and power (CCHP) in Ontario. The webinar provides an introduction to combined heat and power (CHP) in the context of the Conservation First program and describes the current market for BMG in terms of existing market and achievable opportunities in Ontario.
Discussion topics include:

  • Business case for CHP from utility and customer perspectives
  • Program rules for eligible projects
  • Recommended approaches to realize BMG opportunity
  • Specific types of BMG will be eligible for incentives under Ontario’s new Conservation First Framework, which will be in effect from 2015 to 2020. By focusing on CHP, local distribution companies (LDC) in Ontario will enhance their prospects for achieving Conservation First targets.
