As founder, President and CEO of Regatta Solutions, Mr. Steven Acevedo is responsible for creating and driving the long-term vision for the company. Mr. Acevedo has more than 30 years of experience in energy and high technology entrepreneurial management, sales and marketing, energy solutions and infrastructure support consulting. Mr. Acevedo blends his extensive background in technology solution sales, business, and strategic planning to guide Regatta Solutions. He has held sales, management and executive positions with Texas Instruments, International Business Machines Corporation, Bridgestone Software, Cornerstone Systems, Inc. and MSI Systems Integrators.

Mr. Acevedo runs operations for Regatta Solutions, Inc. a premier energy solutions integration company providing client’s environmentally friendly solutions related to distributed power generation. Specializations include cogeneration, solar and energy storage for microgrid applications. Industry specialization in oil & gas, food processing, hospitality and renewable power and data center optimization solutions. Regatta earned #29th fastest growing Energy Company on INC 500 2014 List. Mr. Acevedo also operates Regatta Development Inc. a licensed general contracting firm focused on development of Cogeneration and Datacenter Infrastructure Projects.

He has bachelor’s science degree in public policy and public administration from the University of Southern California. Mr. Acevedo has also attended a number of executive management programs, including the Executive Program for Growing Companies, Stanford Graduate School of Business and UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is an active member of the California Clean Distributed Generation Coalition. Additionally, Mr. Acevedo serves on the Corporate Advisory Board at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the Athenian Leadership Council at the USC Price School of Public Policy.


Mark Gilbreth

Chief Technology Officer
Regatta Solutions, Inc.

As Chief Technology Officer for Regatta Solutions Mark Gilbreth is responsible for technical vision and leading all aspects of technology development aligning these with the strategic direction and growth objectives of the company.

Mr. Gilbreth also leads the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships as well as building and managing the application technology team. He will focus on understanding and ensuring organizational adherence to technical standards. Mr. Gilbreth also evaluates new services and technology offerings that support existing customer requirements and leverages our strategic partnership with Capstone Turbine.

Mr. Gilbreth joined Regatta Solutions with 21 years of experience in engineering leadership and systems solutions experience in the power generation business. Prior to joining Regatta, Mark started his career at Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems developing control systems and user support software for Auxiliary Power Units on aircraft. Mr. Gilbreth’s technical and leadership capabilities were quickly recognized and he was promoted to lead engineer for several next generation engine development programs.

Mr. Gilbreth joined Capstone Turbine Corporation in 1995 with an entrepreneurial spirit looking to develop microturbine technology for the distributed generation market place. Mark holds over 19 US Patents in electronics architecture, controls systems, and application solutions for Capstone Turbine Corporation. During his tenure at Capstone, Mr. Gilbreth drove critical technical and operational improvements serving as Manager of Systems and Controls, Director of Customer Service, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Technology Officer.

Mark Parriott

Vice President of Service
Regatta Solutions, Inc.

As Vice President of Customer Service, Mark drives all after-sales support and acts as a technical link between factory engineers and field engineers.

Regatta’s service team has extensive field experience with Capstone Microturbines and are factory certified to provide: commissioning services, scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and training classes. Extended service contracts for new Capstone installations as well as legacy sites can also be provided.

Mark brings over 15 years of field experience in the power quality and distributed generation industries to Regatta Solutions, additionally focusing in alternative energy. Mark has held related positions at Ingersoll-Rand Industrial Technologies, Vycon Inc. and Capstone Turbine, where he was an integral part in developing a three person service team into a fully staffed global support center. He has a proven track record of providing quality customer service in domestic and global markets.

Mark joined the US Marine Corps immediately after high school and served honorably as a field electrician. He received his B. S. degree in Electronics Engineering from ITT Technical Institute shortly thereafter.

Vice President of Energy Services
Regatta Solutions, Inc.

As Vice President of Energy Services, Andrea Marr is responsible for demand side energy management programs at Regatta Solutions. This practice includes energy monitoring, auditing and analysis at facilities ranging from hospitals to breweries.

Ms. Marr comes to Regatta Solutions from Wedge Consulting, an energy management company she founded. Prior to starting Wedge, Andrea worked for McKinstry as a program manager and commissioning engineer, overseeing the implementation of energy efficiency projects for clients including the California Institute of Technology. Andrea has also spent time in Nicaragua, designing and installing wind turbines and solar panels in rural communities without access to the national electric grid. As a member of the Truman National Security Project, Andrea writes and speaks about energy from the perspective of both an industry insider and as a veteran.

In 2005, she graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and subsequently served as the Gunnery Officer on two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and as a Nuclear Engineering Officer for a third deployment. She holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University where her final coursework focused on the success and failures of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building program. She was a 2013 recipient of the White House Champion of Change award for her work in energy as a veteran. Andrea is a licensed professional engineer.


Logan Allen

As the Oil and Gas Practice Principal for Regatta Solutions, Logan Allen manages energy solutions for producers and refiners in North America, with a focus on California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada. Prior to joining Regatta, Logan was Vice President at AllenCo, a California oil producer, well servicer, and well abandonment company.

With a background in California oil production, Logan understands the needs of Oil and Gas producers to operate efficiently by reducing lease operating expenses and enabling producers to become more self reliant. His experience with urban oil production and Capstone microturbines has given him a unique insight in to the ever changing oil production landscape in California and enables him to provide valuable insights and solutions for Regatta’s Oil and Gas clientele.

Logan has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a Masters of Taxation from Georgia State University. He founded and remains active in the leadership of The Young Professionals at The Petroleum Club; a nonprofit organization (501c3) dedicated to developing tomorrow’s leaders in the Southern California Oil and Gas industry. He frequently speaks on behalf of the industry in front of California legislators, regulators, and the public to help shape a more positive and accurate view of the industry and the people that move this state forward.


Cassandra Simpson

Vice President of Business Affairs
Regatta Solutions, Inc.

As Vice President of Business Affairs for Regatta Solutions, Cassandra Simpson is responsible for accounts payable, payroll, human resources, and creation of organizational and program budgets. She serves as a member of the Management Team by providing leadership to ensure effectiveness of the organization’s financial and marketing functions.

Cassandra Simpson joined Regatta Solutions in 2010 with more than 5 years of experience in back office operations. As an administrator she has worked for a variety of growth companies, assisting them with business processes, contracts administration, and customer service interfacing.

She has an Associate Degree from Saddleback College and has attended a variety of business management and financial certification programs.
